  • A Great Wine For A Great Cause!

The Yamhill Enrichment Society (YES) is honored to be the recipient of Dobbes Family Estate’s Charitable Giving Program.  Through the end of the year, 10% of proceeds from sales of their fantastic 2014 Grand Assemblage Pinot Noir will be donated to YES. It’s the perfect time to stock up on wine for the holiday season.

Many thanks to Production Winemaker, Travis Proctor, for selecting the Yamhill Enrichment Society. Find out more about why he chose to support YES >>

  • Bounty of Yamhill County Does Good!

Bounty of Yamhill County (BOYC) is gaining national attention as one of the premier food & wine events in the country. BOYC has been recognized as one of The 10 Best Food Festivals in the USA by The Culture Trip and we placed #2 in USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Award for Best General Food Festival.

BOYC is a project of, and a fundraiser for, the Yamhill Enrichment Society (YES). While the event shines a spotlight on our dynamic culinary scene, it’s also the primary fundraiser for the cultural projects YES supports in Yamhill County, including:

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library – This amazing program mails age-appropriate books every month to children from birth to age 5 at no cost to the family.

    • YES funds the Yamhill County chapter of Imagination Library.
    • Imagination Library provides a steady source of high-quality books, helping families establish reading routines, create home libraries, and prepare children for future academic success.
    • This program is so important for Yamhill County where our children score lower than the state average in the Oregon Kindergarten Readiness Assessment.
    • We currently have 1,800 County children enrolled in the Imagination Library – but our 0-5 year old population is 5,800 and we want to enroll them all!
    • It costs $25 per child, per year, to fund the program. The money we raise from BOYC is critical!

    Enriching Lives through Music (ELM)
    – Music plays an invaluable role in the development of young minds. ELM supports and promotes music programs across the county via:

    • Koncert for Kids busses McMinnville 3rd and 4th graders to concerts at Linfield College and McMinnville High School
    • McMinnville School District Summer Music Camp offers. summer opportunities for kids to fall in love with music and is open to children throughout the county.
    • A partnership with the Chehalem Cultural Center in Newberg supporting the Youth Mariachi Program.

While BOYC supports our community, we receive tremendous support in return! Our Yamhill County farms, chefs, and wineries generously donate the product of their labors; helping to create one of the summer’s most highly anticipated events.

Of course, we couldn’t do it without our generous sponsors.  Their support makes all the difference!
